Run every brand from one support queue.

If you support more than one brand, you should not need more than one helpdesk. Solves runs several customer-facing brands from a single login and one unified queue, with brand-specific mailboxes, sender names, signatures and saved replies, and a hard guard against replying as the wrong brand.

One queue

Every brand, side by side, never confused

Harbour and Kiln share one workspace and one queue, but stay separate to the customer. Each row is badged to its brand, and the reply is locked to that brand's mailbox.

  • A brand badge on every row, with brand filters and grouped-by-brand views
  • Per-brand mailboxes, sender names and signatures
  • The composer is locked to the ticket's brand and mailbox

The short answer

One organisation, many brands, one queue

A multi-brand support desk lets one team handle support for several brands without switching accounts. Each brand keeps its own identity to the customer, while your agents work everything from one shared queue. Solves treats this as a first-class job, not a feature bolted onto the most expensive plan.

The model is deliberately simple. An organisation is your billing and security boundary. Inside it you create one brand per customer-facing identity, and each brand owns one or more mailboxes (its support addresses). Tickets, contacts, saved replies and reports all carry their brand, so the queue stays readable even when three brands are busy at once.

This is the opposite of running a separate workspace per brand, where helpers need an account each, context is split, and someone eventually answers a customer of one brand using another brand's signature. Solves keeps every brand in one place and makes the wrong-brand mistake structurally hard to make.

What you get

Built for running brands side by side

One unified queue

Every open ticket across the brands you can access, in one list, with a brand badge on each row and a brand filter and grouped-by-brand view a click away.

Brand-specific identity

Each brand has its own support address, from-name and signature, so replies always go out looking like the brand the customer wrote to.

Brand-scoped saved replies

Saved replies can be scoped to a brand or shared across the organisation, so the right tone and wording reach the right customers.

Contact history by brand

A contact's previous tickets are grouped clearly by brand, and history a teammate is not permitted to see is never exposed.

Per-brand access

Decide which brands each teammate can see and whether they can reply, add notes only, or manage that brand, without learning an enterprise role builder.

Wrong-brand send guard

The composer is locked to the ticket's brand and mailbox; changing the outbound identity is an explicit, audited admin action.

How it works

Add a brand, connect its mailbox, work one queue

Create each brand

Add a brand for each customer-facing identity: its name, colour, default from-name and signature. Brands share the workspace but stay separate to the customer.

Connect a mailbox per brand

Give each brand its support address and run the plain-English mailbox checks. Live sending for a brand stays blocked until its checks pass or a founder override is recorded.

Work everything in one queue

Tickets arrive tagged to their brand. Filter by brand, group by brand, or work the whole queue, and reply with the correct identity every time.

In practice

What multi-brand support looks like day to day

Picture a small agency that supports two client brands, Harbour and Kiln, plus its own accounts mailbox. Without a multi-brand desk, that is three inboxes, three logins, and a constant risk of mixing them up. With Solves it is one queue: a Harbour order question, a Kiln returns query and an invoice question all sit together, each badged to its brand, each answerable in seconds with the right signature.

Examples of multi-brand businesses

Multi-brand is more common than it sounds. It covers a hosting provider with a main brand and a reseller brand, a retailer running two storefronts, a group that owns a shop and a separate services arm, a charity with a fundraising brand and a services brand, and an agency answering support for several client websites. If you reply from more than one support address as more than one identity, you are already doing multi-brand support, probably the hard way.

A multi-brand strategy that does not punish helpers

A sensible multi-brand strategy keeps each brand recognisable to its own customers while sharing the people, tooling and reporting behind the scenes. The usual blocker is pricing: most helpdesks charge per agent, so the occasional helper who picks up overflow on a busy Monday costs a full seat. Solves uses GBP team bands, so you size the plan to the team and let helpers help without a per-seat penalty.

Around-the-clock cover, kept honest

Multi-brand teams are often asked about 24/7 support: cover for customer enquiries at any hour, every day. Solves is email-first, so it does not run phone lines or live chat shifts. What it gives a small team is a queue that never loses a message, first-response and resolution SLA timers with per-brand targets, and a clear view of what is breaching, so you can offer dependable response times without pretending to staff a contact centre overnight.

Honest comparison

Multi-brand on Solves vs a typical helpdesk

Where a single Solves workspace helps a small multi-brand team, and where it deliberately stops.

Solves Typical helpdesk
Several brands in one login Included, core to the product Often a higher-tier add-on
How you pay for helpers GBP team bands, no per-seat penalty Usually per agent, per month
Wrong-brand send prevention Composer locked to the ticket brand and mailbox Varies; often relies on agent care
Brand-scoped saved replies Per brand or organisation-wide Varies by plan
Phone, live chat and social Not included, by design Often available as add-ons

Competitor facts last verified 13 June 2026. Re-check the vendor's current plans before deciding.

Solves does not claim feature parity with a full contact-centre suite. If you need phone, live chat or social channels at scale, a broader platform is the better fit.

Email-first, on purpose

Solves handles support email: tickets, ownership, notes, SLAs and multi-brand. It does not do live chat, phone or social inboxes. That focus is why a small team can run several brands without drowning in channels.

FAQ

Multi-brand questions

What is a multi-brand support desk?

A multi-brand support desk lets one organisation run support for several customer-facing brands from a single login and one shared queue, instead of signing in and out of a separate helpdesk for each brand. In Solves, each brand keeps its own support address, sender name, signature and saved replies, while your team works every brand from one place.

What are examples of multi-brand businesses?

Common examples are an agency that supports several client websites, a hosting company that runs a main brand and a reseller brand, a retailer with two storefronts, or a group that owns a shop and a separate services arm. Anyone who answers email from more than one support address for more than one identity is running multi-brand support.

Can a teammate reply as the wrong brand by accident?

No. The reply composer is locked to the ticket's brand and mailbox, and the from-address is taken from that mailbox, never from anything the browser sends. Changing the outbound brand on a ticket needs an explicit, audited admin action, so a reply for one brand cannot quietly go out as another.

Is multi-brand limited to higher pricing tiers?

Multi-brand is core to Solves, not a top-tier add-on. The number of brands you can run is set by your plan band: Starter is a single brand, Starter is one brand, Team covers three brands, Growth ten and Agency/MSP twenty-five. You are paying for a band of usage, not a per-seat penalty for occasional helpers.

Does each brand need its own email setup?

Each brand has its own mailbox, and each mailbox is verified separately with plain-English DNS steps before live sending is allowed. That keeps deliverability and sender identity correct per brand. You can add brands one at a time and go live with each as its checks pass.
