Refer a team, get a proper thank-you.
If you know a small UK business buried in a shared inbox, you can point them to Solves and be rewarded when they become a paying customer. Our affiliate and referral programme is in design at pilot stage, so this is an honest invitation to register your interest, not a published rate card.
In design, not yet open. We will publish the full terms before we ask anyone to sign up.
The short answer
Introduce a team you know, we say thank you when they pay
A referral programme is simple in principle: you introduce a business to Solves, and if that business becomes a paying customer, we reward you for the introduction. We are building ours now, so the mechanics here are what we intend rather than a live, signed offer.
The thing being designed is the reward and how it is tracked, not the idea. We want to thank the people who send us good-fit teams in a way that respects their time, and we want it to be clear and easy to claim. That means agreeing how an introduction is recorded, when it counts, and how the thank-you is paid, all written down in plain English before anyone signs up.
Because we are at pilot stage, we are not going to print a commission percentage we might have to revise, or claim an affiliate dashboard, cookie window or instant payout we have not built. When the programme opens, the terms will be specific and public. Today, the honest position is that it is in design and we want to hear from the people who would use it.
How we intend it to work
The mechanics we are designing
What we are building towards. Treat these as the intended shape, not a published contract.
You make the introduction
Point a small UK team that has outgrown its shared inbox towards Solves, with a way for us to attribute the introduction to you that we are finalising now.
They become a customer
The thank-you is tied to a real paying customer, not a click or a trial sign-up, so the reward reflects an introduction that actually worked out.
You get a thank-you
A reward worth your time, paid in a way we will set out clearly. We will not publish the figure until it is fixed, so we never have to walk it back.
Terms in plain English
When the programme opens you will get clear terms: what counts as a referral, when it qualifies, how and when you are paid, and how to claim.
Casual or structured
A one-off introduction or a regular stream of referrals as an affiliate. Both start the same way, with a note through the contact page.
Honest by default
No fabricated rate, no fake dashboard, no inflated promise. If we have not built it or agreed it, we will not claim it on this page.
Getting involved
Three steps to be first in line
Register your interest
Send us a note through the contact page mentioning affiliates or referrals, with a line on how you would refer and roughly how many small teams you reach.
We get in touch
As the programme moves from in design to open, we contact the people on the list first, share the terms, and answer questions before anyone commits to anything.
Start referring
Once the terms are agreed, introduce teams you genuinely think Solves suits, and claim your thank-you when they become paying customers.
Who it suits
Made for people who already meet small UK teams
A referral fits best when introducing Solves is a natural part of conversations you already have. You do not need an audience of thousands, just access to the kind of team Solves is built for.
Web agencies and freelancers who build and look after client sites, IT and managed-service providers, bookkeepers and consultants who sit close to a client's operations, and people who write for or run a community of small-team founders all tend to meet businesses run from support@, info@ or accounts@. When one of those teams starts to drown in shared-inbox chaos, pointing them to a UK-first, email-first desk is a useful thing to be able to do.
It helps if you have used Solves yourself, because the best referrals come from people who can speak to the product honestly rather than reciting a pitch. If you are not a customer yet, the early-access pilot is a fair way to get hands-on first, so your introductions carry weight.
In design, said plainly
The affiliate and referral programme is not open yet, and nothing on this page is a binding offer or a published commission rate. We are designing it at pilot stage and want input from the people who would use it. Register your interest and you will be first to see the real terms.
Affiliates and partners
Where this sits next to the partner programme
Referring and partnering overlap, so it helps to know which route fits you.
The affiliate and referral route is about introductions: you send us teams, and we thank you when they pay. The partner programme is broader, for agencies and providers who want to set Solves up for clients and manage several brands or accounts on their behalf. If you are mostly making introductions, start here. If you are looking to deliver and support Solves as part of your own service, the partner programme is the better starting point, and the two can sit comfortably side by side.
FAQ
Honest answers about the programme
Is the affiliate programme open yet?
Not yet. Solves is at pilot stage, and the referral and affiliate programme is in design rather than open for sign-ups. We would rather get the terms right and pay people fairly than rush out a scheme we cannot stand behind. You can register your interest now through the contact page, and we will come back to you with the details as they firm up. Until then, nothing here is a published rate or a binding offer.
How much will you pay for a referral?
We are still designing the reward, so we will not print a commission percentage we might have to change. What we can say honestly is the shape of it: a thank-you that is worth your time when someone you refer becomes a paying customer, not a token gesture. The exact figure, whether it is a one-off or recurring, and how it is paid are being worked out now. When the programme opens we will publish the terms in plain English so there are no surprises.
What is the difference between referring and being an affiliate?
Referring is the informal version: you know a small UK team drowning in a shared inbox, you point them to Solves, and we thank you if they sign up and pay. Being an affiliate is the more structured version for people who send referrals regularly, such as a consultant, agency or newsletter, with an agreed way to track and reward those introductions. Both are in design at the moment, and both start with the same step: register your interest and tell us a little about how you would refer.
Who is the programme for?
People who already talk to small UK businesses that run on support email: web agencies and freelancers who set up sites, IT and managed-service providers, bookkeepers and consultants, and anyone with an audience of small-team founders. If you regularly meet teams who have outgrown a shared inbox, a referral fits naturally into what you already do. You do not need to be a customer to refer, although it helps to have used Solves so you can speak to it honestly.
How do I apply?
Register your interest through the contact page and mention affiliates or referrals, with a line on how you would refer and roughly how many teams you reach. There is no application fee and no commitment. We will add you to the list and get in touch as the programme moves from in design to open, so you are first to know the terms.
Be first to know when referrals open
Register your interest now and we will share the full terms before the programme opens. No fee, no commitment, no fabricated rate.
