Postmark powers every email Solves sends and receives.

Postmark is the email engine inside Solves. It parses your inbound support mail into tickets and sends your replies with the right headers and a verified sender identity for each brand. It is wired into the guided mailbox setup, so live sending stays gated until your mailbox checks pass and a reply only goes out once your domain is ready.

The short answer

What the Postmark integration does

Postmark is a transactional email provider, and Solves uses it for the two jobs that matter most to a support desk: turning inbound email into clean tickets, and sending your replies so they actually reach the customer. You do not have to set Postmark up, learn it or pay for it separately. It is already part of Solves and runs underneath the product.

On the way in, Postmark parses each message your support address receives, separating the body, subject, sender and any threading, so Solves can create or update the right ticket. On the way out, every reply you send goes through Postmark with the correct headers and the sender identity for that brand, so it authenticates like genuine mail from the brand the customer wrote to, not a generic relay.

This is the opposite of bolting on your own SMTP server and hoping for the best. Solves owns the sending path, ties it to per-brand verification, and refuses to send live from a mailbox whose checks have not passed. That is how a small team gets provider-grade deliverability behaviour without becoming email-infrastructure experts.

What you get

Provider-grade email, handled for you

Reliable inbound parsing

Postmark parses incoming support mail into structured tickets, separating subject, body, sender and threading so the right ticket is created or updated.

Replies with correct headers

Outbound replies carry the right headers and a verified sender identity for the brand, so they authenticate cleanly instead of looking like spoofed mail.

Sender identity per brand

Each brand sends from its own verified address and from-name, so a Harbour reply goes out as Harbour and a Kiln reply as Kiln, never crossed over.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC-friendly

The guided setup writes the SPF and DKIM records you copy in, for a DMARC-friendly configuration that helps replies land in the inbox.

Sending gated until verified

A mailbox cannot send live until its DNS checks pass, so you never accidentally send from an unverified domain and damage your reputation.

No new account to run

There is no Postmark dashboard, API key or separate invoice for you. Solves manages the provider relationship; you manage your support, not the plumbing.

How it fits the setup

From forwarding to verified sending

Postmark is wired into the guided mailbox setup, so you go live safely, one step at a time.

Forward your mail in

Point or forward your existing support address into Solves. Postmark parses it, and you start working real tickets immediately, before you change a single sending record.

Add the DNS records

The guided setup gives you plain-English, copyable DNS records for your domain. Add them with your registrar and run the checks to verify SPF, DKIM and your sender identity.

Sending switches on

Once a mailbox passes its checks, live sending through Postmark switches on for that brand, with correct headers and the right from-address. A founder override can be recorded during a supervised pilot.

Why it matters

Deliverability you can stand behind

Deliverability is the quiet difference between a support desk that works and one that silently fails. A reply that lands in spam, or bounces because your domain is not authenticated, is a reply the customer never reads. Sending through Postmark with a verified per-brand identity is how Solves stacks the odds in your favour.

What good deliverability actually needs

Three things have to be right: the sending infrastructure must have a clean reputation, your domain must publish the records that prove you authorised the mail (SPF and DKIM), and the from-address must match a verified identity so receiving servers trust it. Postmark handles the first; the guided mailbox setup walks you through the rest, and blocks live sending until the checks pass.

Why we gate live sending

Sending unauthenticated mail from your domain teaches receiving servers to distrust you, and that damage outlasts the first bad email. By holding live sending until your checks pass, Solves protects the reputation you depend on. You lose nothing in the meantime, because forwarding lets you work tickets from day one.

What we do not promise

No email provider can guarantee delivery, and we will not pretend otherwise. What Solves and Postmark give you is the correct, authenticated setup that the major mailbox providers expect, plus a gate that stops you sending from an unverified domain. That is the honest version of good deliverability: the best chance of landing, without a promise no one can keep.

Email-first, on purpose

Postmark is an email provider, and Solves is an email-first support desk. This integration is about inbound parsing and outbound replies, not live chat, phone or social inboxes. That focus is why the sending path can be this carefully controlled.

FAQ

Postmark questions

Do I need my own Postmark account to use Solves?

No. Postmark is the email engine inside Solves, set up and run by us. You do not create a Postmark account, manage API keys or pay Postmark separately. You point your support address at Solves and add a few DNS records for your own domain, which the guided mailbox setup writes out for you to copy and paste. Postmark then parses your inbound mail and sends your replies behind the scenes.

How does Postmark help deliverability?

Postmark is a transactional email provider with a strong sending reputation and infrastructure built for one job: getting genuine business email to the inbox. When Solves sends a reply through it, the message carries the right headers and a verified sender identity for your brand, with SPF, DKIM and a DMARC-friendly setup once your DNS checks pass. That gives a reply the best chance of landing rather than going to spam. We help you get the setup right; we do not promise guaranteed delivery, because no honest provider can.

What happens to my replies before the mailbox checks pass?

Live sending for a mailbox stays blocked until its checks pass, so you cannot accidentally send from an unverified address and harm your domain reputation. You can still receive and work tickets while you finish the DNS steps. Sending switches on for that brand the moment its checks go green, or when a founder override is recorded during a supervised pilot.

Can I keep forwarding from my existing inbox?

Yes. The guided setup is forwarding-first, so you can start by forwarding mail from your current support address into Solves and working real tickets straight away, before you change any sending records. You move to full sending on your own domain when you are ready and the checks pass.

Does using Postmark mean my email is readable by Solves staff?

Support content in Solves is encrypted at rest with per-organisation keys, and access is limited to authorised people in your workspace. Postmark processes mail in transit so it can be parsed and sent, which is how any email provider works. Our own logs are metadata only: timings, statuses and route families, never message bodies or addresses.
